
IHG to Open “Garner Hotel Kyoto Shijo Karasuma” in November
Hotel Granvia Okayama is hosting the “‘Jaune’ et ‘Blanc’ – Coolness with Peach Afternoon Tea” at their top-floor dining & bar “Applause.”
The event begins with an original cocktail, “Sunset Smile,” inspired by a summer sunset. Sweets like “Peach Shortcake,” “Almond Blancmange with White Peach Sauce,” “Mango and Lychee Gateau,” are served bite-sized on a tea stand. Savories include a vibrant menu of “Cold Corn Soup,” “Chicken and Pineapple Pinchos with Coconut Flavor,” and “Garlic Shrimp with Spices.”
The highlight is the “Hiyatsu” dessert, juxtaposing cold and warm sweets: a “Okayama White Peach Parfait” for the cold and a “Peach and Chocolate Pie” for the warm. Drinks offered include “Mighty Leaf” tea along with coffee, café au lait, cocoa, and various juices available as free flow.
The event runs on weekdays from July 1 to August 29, excluding August 12 to 15. Times are from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM and from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with last entry at 8:00 PM. The price is 7,000 yen including tax and service charge.
