
Hilton Tokyo to Offer ‘Yang Guifei’ Imperial Court Lunch from September 3
Hotel Nikko Alivila in Japan will offer a music-inspired afternoon tea “MUSICA” from September 1 to November 30.
It will feature a creative, limited-time menu inspired by the world of classical music and musical instruments. The 1st plate includes “Salmon and Potato Mille-Feuille, Xylophone Style,” arranged by lining up grissini (thin breadsticks) to resemble a xylophone, with the salmon and potato salad finished as a three-layer mille-feuille. Other items include “Maple-Bacon Donut Shaped Like Mallets” and “Pumpkin Staff-Line Crepe with Musical Notes,” for a total of five items. The 2nd plate offers four items: “Caramel Opera” (an interpretation of the chocolate cake “Opera,” named after the Paris Opera House), “Elderflower and Muscat White Wine Jelly,” “Linzer Cookie,” and “Pistachio and Lemon Scone.” The 3rd plate features “Passion Orange Mousse Shaped Like a Piano,” a refreshing passion-orange mousse finished in the shape of a grand piano, along with “Peach Melba Verrine,” “Chocolat Chaud Pudding,” and “Macaron Chocolat with a Hint of Mozart Liqueur.” Beverages include coffee, tea, and herbal tea (hot or iced).
Location: Lounge “Ariacara.” Hours: noon to 4:00 p.m. with a 2-hour seating. Price: 6,000 yen. Optional 2-hour free-flow of soft drinks and sparkling wine for 2,800 yen. Tax and service charge included. Advance reservation required; available for parties of two or more.
