Amazon will run a campaign from September 1 to 30 on Japan’s hometown tax donation (Furusato Nozei) sites: donate 10,000 yen or more using Amazon Pay and get up to 5% back.
Donations that use 10,000 yen or more from your Amazon Gift Card balance are eligible. The 4% portion of the reward is capped at 10,000 yen; the additional 1% for Prime members and 0.5% for non-Prime members have no cap. The 4% portion will be credited around mid-November to mid-December. The merchant’s sales capture (billing) must be completed by October 31.
Eligible hometown tax donation portals include Furusato Choice, Satofull, ANA Furusato Nozei, Furusato Premium, Mynavi Furusato Nozei, JAL Furusato Nozei, and Furusato Honpo.
