Japan’s Spa Resort LIVEMAX reopened after renovations on August 9.
Twenty additional standalone trailer-house-style “MAXCUBE” guest rooms—each equipped with individual air conditioning and a bathroom—were added, bringing the total to 41. The exterior design blends with the surrounding scenery.
The on-site day-use hot spring (onsen) and restaurant have also reopened. The men’s and women’s sauna rooms were fully renovated and now feature 50-inch TVs. The expanded saunas newly adopt an auto loyly function that sprays water onto heated sauna stones to generate steam and raise the perceived temperature. By producing heat waves every 20 minutes, it raises the perceived temperature to over 100°C. Guests can also freely use self loyly with a choice of three aromas.
