JR East ‘JRE MALL Furusato Nozei’ campaign Sept 19–22: 5x JRE POINT and View Card bonuses

JR East (East Japan Railway Company) will run a campaign on its “JRE MALL Furusato Nozei” hometown tax donation service in Japan from September 19 to 22.

JRE POINT will be awarded at five times the usual rate. In addition, when you make a donation using a View Card (JR East’s credit card), you can earn points worth up to 7.5% of the donation amount. A further 500 points will be awarded when paying with a View Card. Entry required.

The points awarded are regular points, scheduled to be credited around late November. The bonus portion will be applied at a later date and will not be reflected in the estimated points shown at the time of donation.

They are also running the following campaigns: a discount coupon for “Dokokani Byun!” for those who donate JPY 55,000 or more between August 1 and September 30, and 5,000 points for those who donate JPY 10,000 or more to a single municipality in Iwate Prefecture between September 1 and 30.
