SEION will open its private resort hotel, “HOTEL SEION FUJI,” in Yamanakako Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, in December.
The entire building is rented as a single unit and has a total floor area of 239.84 square meters. The guest rooms comprise two bedrooms for up to four people each, accommodating a maximum of eight guests. It adopts a black-and-white contrast design that creates two distinct atmospheres, with the washbasin, toilet, and shower each installed in separate spaces. The living, dining, and kitchen area, including the terrace, exceeds 50 tatami mats in size and is equipped with sofas, a dining table, and a custom-built kitchen. Large round shoji screens and furniture unified in black and wood-grain tones create a modern Japanese impression. From the windows, guests can take in views of a Japanese garden and the forest stretching beyond it.
BBQs are available on the first-floor terrace, and an option for dinner and breakfast by a private chef is also offered. A balcony with a tsuboniwa courtyard garden—10 meters wide with a maximum ceiling height of 5 meters—is designed so that the sauna and bathing area feel integrated with nature, and it includes an open-air bath. Both the custom indoor bath and the open-air bath use spring water from the northern foothills of Mount Fuji, allowing guests to freely alternate between cold-water and hot-water baths. The sauna is equipped with a HARVIA CILINDRO stove and cool-down chairs. Other on-site features include three parking spaces on the south side facing the road, and a roof balcony 10 meters above ground.
