Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo in Tokyo, Japan will offer a limited-quantity Classic Afternoon Tea.
Sweets include cinnamon apple pie; opera cake layered with ganache and coffee buttercream; dacquoise noisette; week-end citron; and cherry blancmange. Savories include a Japanese beef hamburger, cumin-flavored carrot potage, bacon and spinach quiche Lorraine, and a cucumber sandwich. Two kinds of scones—dried fruit and cultured butter—are served with clotted cream and orange marmalade. Beverages include 7 varieties of TWG Tea, 5 herbal teas, and coffee. From the second cup onward, you may change your selection.
Available November 1–12 and November 20–30. Venue: Lobby Lounge Bamboo. Seating times are 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for a 2-hour session; on Fridays and Saturdays and on November 2 and 23, 3-hour sessions starting at 5:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. are also offered. Price: 6,400 yen (tax and service charge included).
