JAL, JALCARD to Change JAL CLUB EST e JAL Points Redemption Unit to 1,000 Miles from Dec 16
Visa Worldwide Japan is running the “Save on Rail with Visa Contactless! 20% Cashback Campaign” from November 1 through December 14.
Register your card number on the dedicated registration page “Visa-wari,” and when you use eligible railway lines by tapping to pay with your registered Visa card, you will receive 20% cashback on the amount used. The cap is 1,000 yen per card.
Eligible railway operators are, in the Kansai region, Osaka Metro, Osaka Monorail, Kita-Osaka Kyuko Railway, Kintetsu Railway, Kobe Municipal Transportation Bureau, Kobe New Transit, Sanyo Electric Railway, Nankai Electric Railway, Nose Electric Railway, and Hankyu Railway, plus the Sapporo Municipal Subway. The Kobe Kosoku Line is excluded; if you transfer via that line, the fare for that segment will be deducted when calculating. The “Sukippu Discount” transfer discount between Nankai Electric Railway and Nankai Ferry is also excluded.
Journeys are ineligible if you board or alight at stations that do not support contactless and station staff collect cash, or if the payment does not complete successfully. You can check which stations accept contactless on each operator’s website in Japan.
