Agoda and Hoshino Resorts Form Comprehensive Partnership in Japan
Choice Hotels Japan opened Comfort Hotel Mito on November 5.
The building has 10 floors above ground. The 128 guest rooms come in four types, including Queen Economy, Twin Standard, and a Universal Room. All rooms are non-smoking and feature art panels made with Nishinouchi washi (traditional Japanese paper), Choice Pillows, Choice Bed Pads, and Choice original 7-ZONE mattresses. Queen Economy rooms are equipped with an L-shaped bench sofa and bolster cushions.
Inside the hotel, there is an open space for staying guests, the “Comfort Library Cafe,” available free of charge. Seating options include counter seats, booth seats, and a big table. The space provides free Wi-Fi, power outlets, drinks, and a microwave, and offers more than 300 books on themes such as travel, food, sake, notable figures, culture, and local history. Accent walls, art panels, and displays incorporate designs that reflect Mito’s culture, and feature local crafts such as Suifu lanterns and Kasama ware. For dining, a complimentary breakfast buffet is served, with items like nuppe-jiru (a local vegetable soup), seasonal smoothies, and daily-changing side dishes.
Access: About a 4-minute walk from JR Mito Station.
