Choice Hotels Japan revamped part of the breakfast buffet at 21 Comfort Inn properties in Japan on November 1.
They have introduced six spice toppings that allow up to 18 flavor combinations for the daily curry rice (beef, seafood, or chicken). They also offer mackerel flakes and bouillon soup for multigrain rice, as well as whipped cream, colorful sprinkles, and cinnamon sugar as toppings for freshly made waffles available on weekends only. Additional dishes include Japanese items such as Chikuzen-ni (simmered chicken and vegetables) and Nikujaga (meat and potatoes), along with mentaiko and clam udon, and Napolitan-style udon.
Pricing is 1,100 yen for adults (1,430 yen at Comfort Inn Karuizawa). Children of elementary school age and younger, and bed-sharing children, eat for free. Some Comfort Inn properties will sell a discounted breakfast-included plan exclusively on the official website from November 10 through February 28, 2026.
