Etihad to Deploy A380 on Tokyo/Narita–Abu Dhabi Route from June 16, 2026

Etihad Airways has announced it will deploy the Airbus A380 on the Tokyo/Narita (Japan)–Abu Dhabi route.

From June 16, 2026, it will operate one round-trip daily. The A380 will be introduced ahead of the summer travel season in response to requests to increase seat capacity on its Japan routes. This marks the eighth A380 to return to service in Etihad’s fleet.

The aircraft features three The Residence suites, nine First Apartments, 70 Business Studios, and 405 Economy Smart Seats. In addition, the Economy cabin includes 80 Economy Space seats with a generous seat pitch of up to 36 inches. The Residence is offered as an option that can be used by paying an additional fee after purchasing a First Class ticket. A dedicated “The Lobby” is also available for First and Business Class passengers.

With this addition, Etihad’s A380 will operate to five cities: London, Paris, Toronto, Singapore, and Tokyo (Narita), Japan.
