Starlux Airlines has received the gold version of its special-livery aircraft, “STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA,” created in collaboration with Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama. The aircraft is an Airbus A350-1000 registered as B-58554.
Following the delivery of the silver aircraft (B-58553), the airline now has both special-livery aircraft. The ferry flight departed Toulouse, France, at 12:27 p.m. on August 15 and arrived at Taipei Taoyuan at 9:43 a.m. the following day, August 16.
From October 1, the silver and gold aircraft are scheduled to officially enter service together on three routes: Taipei Taoyuan–Tokyo Narita as flights JX800/801, Taipei Taoyuan–Phoenix as flights JX26/25, and Taipei Taoyuan–Prague as flights JX101/102. Flights operated by the two aircraft will offer specially designed boarding passes, name tags, paper cups, and paper napkins supervised by Sorayama. Limited-edition amenity kits for Economy Class and Premium Economy Class will also be provided on long-haul routes. In addition, the airline will serve an original gin- and sweet-wine-based cocktail, the “AIRSORAYAMA Special Chrome Sky.”
Starlux Airlines has ordered a total of 18 Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. It received its first aircraft, registered B-58551, in Toulouse, France, on January 5 local time, bringing its A350-1000 fleet to four aircraft. The fleet is expected to expand to six aircraft by the end of the year.
