Widespread Water Outages on Okinawa Main Island After Water Conveyance Pipe Damage
Japan Airlines (JAL) will refresh the wines served in Premium Economy and Economy Class on its international flights, starting with Japan-departing flights on December 1.
The label is the original “+81,” available in red and white. Supervised by JAL wine advisor Motohiro Okoshi, each wine blends four varieties of Spanish grapes, tailored to the taste changes experienced in the air.
The container will change from the previous 187-milliliter PET bottle to a recyclable 750-milliliter lightweight glass bottle. By adopting bottles with excellent light-blocking and airtight properties, JAL will curb quality degradation during long-term storage, and by having cabin crew pour from large bottles into cups, the change will help reduce material usage, transport-related CO2 emissions, and waste plastic.
Applies to Premium Economy and Economy Class on international flights. Offered on routes to North America and Hawaii (excluding Guam), Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia, and Hong Kong.
