Kagaya Group’s Four Ryokans in Wakura Onsen Suspend Operations for the Time Being
The Kagaya Group’s ryokans (traditional Japanese inns) in Wakura Onsen will be suspending operations for the time being due to significant damage caused by the Noto Peninsula earthquake.
The establishments suspending operations include Kagaya, Aenokaze, Kagaya Bettei Matsunomidori, and Niji to Umi. It’s reported that, besides the damage to the facilities themselves, the earthquake also resulted in extensive damage to local infrastructure such as water supply, gas, and roads.
All accommodation bookings until the end of January are being canceled, and procedures for refunding payments already made are underway. Due to continuous aftershocks and the implementation of an emergency staff attendance system, telephone support may be difficult, and they are asking for understanding.
