Grand Hyatt Tokyo Offers Strawberry Semi-Buffet Dinner and Special Italian Course
Hoshino Resorts will open “OMO7 Yokohama by Hoshino Resorts” on April 21.
The property is located within “BASEGATE Yokohama Kannai,” a development project built on the former site of the Yokohama City Hall. There are 276 guest rooms in total across 9 types, including the “Yagura Suite,” which can accommodate up to 6 guests, and the “Katariba Room,” which can accommodate up to 4 guests. Three dog-friendly room types—Dog Friendly Double, Dog Friendly Deluxe, and Dog Friendly Suite—allow guests to stay with their dogs. In the suites, up to 6 guests plus 2 dogs can stay together. The room interiors feature a color scheme inspired by the red of the carpet from the former mayor’s office, the blue of the porcelain tiles used inside the former city hall building, and the green of the council member seats in the former city assembly chamber.
Inside the hotel, facilities include the OMO Base, which is equipped with lighting that incorporates design elements from the circular lighting once installed in the former city assembly chamber; a staircase that inherits the grand staircase of the former citizens’ hall; the OMO Bakery, which has preserved in its original position the Taizan tile relief “Sea, Waves, Ship” that once decorated the entrance to the former mayor’s office and the former mayor’s reception room; and the OMO Dog Garden, which is equipped with an outdoor dog run and an indoor dog lounge. For dining, the OMO Bakery serves a breakfast set centered on bread in the morning and five types of special curry bread at lunch and dinner. At OMO Dining, a breakfast buffet is offered in the morning, while in the evening guests can enjoy Chinese dishes such as lobster mapo pot pie and red dumplings filled with lamb. Room rates start from 36,000 yen per night for a room for two people, without meals (tax included).
Access: a 1-minute walk from Kannai Station on the JR Negishi Line, a 1-minute walk from Kannai Station on the Yokohama Municipal Subway Blue Line, and a 7-minute walk from Nihon-odori Station on the Minatomirai Line of Yokohama Minatomirai Railway.
