Thai Vietjet Air will launch a Tokyo/Narita – Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi route on February 1 (departing Tokyo/Narita and arriving the following day).
The airline had initially planned to inaugurate the route on December 15, 2025, but later postponed the launch to January 16 due to changes in the introduction schedule of new aircraft, and has now further delayed the start of operations.
There will be one round-trip flight per day, operated with Boeing 737-8 aircraft. The flight time will be 7 hours and 35 minutes from Tokyo/Narita and 6 hours from Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi.
On the Tokyo/Narita–Bangkok route, Thai Airways International, Japan Airlines (JAL), All Nippon Airways (ANA), ZIPAIR Tokyo, and AirJapan operate flights to and from Suvarnabhumi Airport, while Thai AirAsia X operates flights to and from Don Mueang Airport.
