New Zealand Tourism Launches “Active Escape” Outdoor Travel Campaign
The Japan Tourism Agency will hold briefing sessions across Japan as it transitions the consumption tax exemption system for foreign visitors to a “refund method.”
From November 1, the system will be revised, and changes will be introduced to duty-free sales procedures at tax-free shops. The briefing sessions will explain practical responses to ensure smooth operations.
The sessions will be held from January 27 to February 24 by the Japan Tourism Agency, regional transport bureaus across Japan, and online. Applications for participation can be submitted via the Japan Tourism Agency’s website. The organizer is the Japan Tourism Agency, and lecturers will be from the National Tax Agency and the Japan Tax-Free Shop Association. Eligible participants are tax-free business operators, chambers of commerce and industry, and related businesses.
