Chubu Centrair International Airport has newly installed and increased the number of reclining seats in the boarding waiting areas of Terminal 1.
Previously, there were only four seats in the international flight area, but both the number of seats and the installation areas have been expanded, increasing the international flight area to 12 seats and newly adding 12 seats in the domestic flight area.
The new seats are approximately 43 centimeters high from the floor, designed to make it easy to sit down and stand up. The chair and ottoman are integrated, and all seats are equipped with power outlets for charging. The charging function will become available in stages by the end of September, in line with the progress of electrical work.
With an eye on the 20th Asian Para Games and Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya to be held in September in Japan’s Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City, the airport has been improving its facilities to better welcome users from both Japan and abroad as the main air gateway to the Chubu region.
The installation locations are near gates 16–17, 18, and 21–22 in the international flight boarding waiting area, and near gates 3–4 and 8–9 in the domestic flight boarding waiting area.
