Swiss International Air Lines will begin operating the Airbus A350-900 aircraft on its Zurich–Seoul/Incheon route from March 29.
This route is a summer seasonal scheduled service, which was operated with an Airbus A340 aircraft last year. Three round-trip flights per week will also be operated in this summer schedule. Thanks to weight reduction and improved performance of the aircraft, the flight time will be shortened by about 50 minutes.
The Airbus A350-900 features the new cabin design “SWISS Senses” for the first time. The aircraft is configured with a total of 243 seats: 4 in First Class, 45 in Business Class, 38 in Premium Economy Class, and 156 in Economy Class. This is the first deployment of the new cabin configuration on an Asian route.
Swiss International Air Lines currently operates two aircraft of this type. The first aircraft features a special livery, while the second one carries the standard livery.
