Tigerair Taiwan Orders 4 Airbus A321neo Aircraft

Tigerair Taiwan has placed an order for four Airbus A321neo aircraft.

Tigerair Taiwan currently operates a total of 17 aircraft, consisting of 9 Airbus A320ceo and 8 Airbus A320neo. This is the airline’s first order for the Airbus A321neo, and through the commonality of the Airbus A320 family, it aims to reduce training, maintenance, and operating costs.

Chairperson Huang Shi-Hui of Tigerair Taiwan commented, “The order for the A321neo is the cornerstone of our ‘third-generation’ fleet expansion plan, aimed at further strengthening our competitiveness in the regional market and maximizing operational efficiency. By introducing the 232-seat A321neo, we will enhance capacity on our high-demand ‘Golden Routes’ and accelerate network expansion. By transporting more customers to more destinations at low cost, we will further solidify our position as Taiwan’s leading low-cost carrier (LCC). In addition, we can promote fleet rejuvenation and improved fuel efficiency, enabling us to achieve both our commercial goals and ESG objectives.”
