i-mobile has begun offering Akita Prefecture as an option for the travel experience–type return gifts on the hometown tax donation site “Furunavi,” under its “Furunavi Travel” program.
At participating hotels and restaurants such as ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Akita, Nakadori Onsen Komachi-no-Yu Dormy Inn Akita, and Jomon no Furusato Oyu Onsen Hotel Kazuno, points can be used at checkout at a rate of 1 point = 1 yen.
“Furunavi Travel” is a service through which donors receive “Furunavi Travel Points,” electronic points with no expiration date that can be used at partner facilities such as hotels and restaurants in the municipality to which they made a hometown tax donation. Donations can be set in any amount of 10,000 yen or more, in 100-yen increments. Points equivalent to 30% of the donation amount are granted immediately.
