Turkish Airlines resumed flights on the Istanbul–Tirana route on January 23.
The airline operates one round-trip flight per day, using Boeing 737 aircraft. The flight time is between 1 hour 40 minutes and 1 hour 50 minutes from Istanbul, and between 1 hour 35 minutes and 1 hour 50 minutes from Tirana.
Tirana is the capital of Albania. It retains architecture from the Ottoman Empire era and a unique cityscape, generating strong tourism demand. In addition, the airline anticipates business travel demand by Japan-affiliated companies in fields such as infrastructure and renewable energy.
