Air China Suspends and Reduces Flights on Japan–China Routes for Summer Schedule
EVA Air will launch its Taipei/Taoyuan–Washington, D.C. route on June 26.
The airline will operate four round-trip flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The route will be operated with three-class Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The flight time is 15 hours from Taipei/Taoyuan and 15 hours 55 minutes from Washington, D.C.
Washington, D.C. is the 7th-largest metropolitan area in the United States, with a large and stable population base. It is the political center of the country as well as a major economic hub where many corporations are concentrated, and EVA Air states that this route will enhance its East Coast network. The annual economic impact is estimated to exceed 61 million US dollars.
With this new service, the number of EVA Air destinations in North America will increase to 10 cities, and the number of flights to 98 round trips per week. The airline had also served Dallas by 2025. Through partnerships with major airlines including United Airlines and Air Canada, passengers will be able to access more than 200 cities across North and South America.
