Japan Airlines (JAL) will revamp its international in-flight meals starting in March.
In First Class and Business Class, JAL will serve in-flight meals created in collaboration with Chef Natsuko Shoji of “été” and Chef Moe Ogawa of “natuRe waikiki.” Chef Shoji’s menu will be offered as the second meal on flights from Tokyo to Europe, North America, and Doha, while Chef Ogawa’s menu will be served on flights from Hawaii to Japan.
In Economy Class, JAL will offer in-flight meals created in collaboration with young chefs selected through the “RED U-25” program. This will apply to medium- and long-haul routes from Japan to Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia.
In addition, JAL will change the service style in Business Class on long-haul routes. For the first meal service, fruit and cheese will be added to the dessert service. For the second meal, a set menu will be served to all passengers. As before, an à la carte menu will be available as a light meal between main services.
The drink lineup will also be expanded. In First Class and Business Class, “matcha latte” and “Maruri Otani Tea Plantation Main Store Uji Sencha Gold Label” will be available. In First Class, Burgundy wine “Maison LEROY” will be served for a limited time.
