“Series by Marriott” Launches in Japan, First Hotel Opening in Osaka Shinsaibashi
Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi will offer its “Sakura Spring Afternoon Tea” from March 1 through April 19.
The sweets selection features five items, including a yellow rabbit-shaped chamomile mousse, a tart filled with blackberry and cassis compote wrapped in sakura-infused chantilly cream, and a strawberry and rhubarb dessert made with rose confiture. The lineup is inspired by Easter eggs and bunnies, as well as cherry blossom–colored sweets. Savories include five items such as a tartelette that evokes cherry blossom petals fluttering down onto a green lawn, a sandwich with smoked salmon and marinated cabbage, and a blancmange with white asparagus. Plain scones, sakura madeleines, and a pound cake with Camembert and chèvre cheese are also available. Beverages include a welcome drink inspired by mimosa flowers, a mocktail based on Japanese red shiso tea accented with a sakura aroma, as well as Japanese tea, black tea, and coffee.
The venue is “THE LOUNGE” on the 39th floor. Service starts at 11:00 a.m. The price is JPY 8,300 for seatings between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, and JPY 9,300 at all other times, tax and service charge included. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, a pairing with premium Japanese tea is included.
