Emirates Plans Special Dubai Departures to the Middle East and Europe on March 3 to Support Returnees

Emirates announced that, on March 3 local time, it appears to be planning operations mainly on routes connecting the Middle East and Europe.

According to the websites of Emirates and Dubai International Airport, the following 14 flights departing from Dubai are scheduled to operate. According to Reuters, these are special flights arranged to assist travelers returning home.

EK8001  London/Heathrow (departing 7:45 a.m.)
EK827  Dammam (departing 7:50 a.m.)
EK8073  Paris/Charles de Gaulle (departing 7:50 a.m.)
EK8045  Frankfurt (departing 8:40 a.m.)
EK8506  Mumbai (departing 9:25 a.m.)
EK8009  London/Gatwick (departing 11:00 a.m.)
EK8566  Bengaluru (departing 1:35 p.m.)
EK8003  London/Heathrow (departing 2:30 p.m.)
EK8528  Hyderabad (departing 2:45 p.m.)
EK8803  Jeddah (departing 3:45 p.m.)
EK8051  Munich (departing 3:45 p.m.)
EK085  Zurich (departing 3:55 p.m.)

According to Emirates, these are limited-operation flights that will prioritize passengers who already hold reservations. The airline says it will contact passengers directly once their rebooking has been completed. Travelers are being asked not to go to the airport until they receive a notification.

According to the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), approximately 20,200 people have had accommodation arrangements and rebookings made for them.
