Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Issues Warning Following US–Israel Attacks on Iran
Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs will operate a relief flight for Japanese nationals from Muscat, Oman to Tokyo/Narita, as early as March 8.
In light of the fact that Japanese nationals have been stranded due to increasing difficulty in securing means of departure amid the heightened tensions in the Middle East, the Government of Japan had announced that it would operate charter flights from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Muscat, Oman. Although the departure time is planned for midnight (12:00 a.m.) on the same day, it may be subject to change depending on the situation. The costs will be borne by the government.
The ministry notes that priority may unavoidably be given to people such as the elderly, those who are ill or injured, pregnant women, those traveling with children, unaccompanied minors, and short-term travelers who do not have a residence or other base in the area.
From Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the government will arrange chartered buses. They are scheduled to depart in the morning and are expected to arrive in Muscat at night.
