Ootoya Opens First Philippines Location at Grand Hyatt Manila Residences
Ootoya Holdings opened “Ootoya Gohan-dokoro Grand Hyatt Residence 2” on February 28.
This is the restaurant chain’s first location in the Philippines. Even at its overseas branches, Ootoya is committed to delivering the same taste and quality as in Japan by exporting seasonings and key ingredients from Japan and insisting on in‑store preparation. Signature set meals include chicken and vegetable black vinegar stir-fry, and grilled Atka mackerel (hokke) cooked over charcoal.
Under its policy of offering set meals based on Japanese home-style cooking around the world, Ootoya has been expanding overseas since 2005 and, as of December 2025, operates a total of 136 restaurants in Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, the United States, Malaysia, and Cambodia. Going forward, the company is considering nationwide expansion in the Philippines as well, using Manila as a starting point.
The new restaurant is located on the 1st and 2nd floors of Grand Hyatt Manila Residences in the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) district of Taguig in Metro Manila. Opening hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (last order at 10:00 p.m.).
