ANA Boeing 787-9 Makes Tailstrike on Landing in Houston; Return Flight Canceled
China Airlines has unveiled its “Pikachu Jet CI2,” operated with an Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
With the theme of “Flying to the World,” the livery is inspired by Taiwan’s traditional huawa (decorative flower tile) culture, and features 13 Pokémon characters, including a flying Pikachu.
In-flight amenities also feature special designs, including tray mats, paper cups, headrest covers, pillow covers, and mixed nuts packaging. Commemorative items for passengers will also be available.
The inaugural flight will operate on April 2, and on the same day the aircraft will be deployed on the Taipei/Taoyuan–Tokyo/Narita and Seattle routes. After that, it is scheduled to be operated on the Taipei/Taoyuan–Phoenix, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, Osaka/Kansai, and Bangkok routes.
