Hotel Granvia Kyoto Strawberry Sweets Buffet, January 9 to May 6
Rembrandt Hotel Ebina, located in Ebina City, Kanagawa Prefecture, is holding a “Sakura Fair” through mid-April.
The Hanami Course is a Japanese course meal featuring spring ingredients such as rape blossoms, bamboo shoots, and mountain vegetables in the appetizers, along with grilled Spanish mackerel with wild rocambole, braised pork belly with soy milk sauce, and ochazuke with clams, all showcasing the flavors of the Japanese spring season. The price is 5,500 yen in March and 5,600 yen in April.
The Cherry Sea Bream Kamameshi Set Menu includes kamameshi (rice cooked in an iron pot at the table) made with broth extracted from sea bream bones and bonito stock, a plate of two kinds of seasonal sashimi, crab chawanmushi (savory egg custard), and tempura of shrimp and seasonal vegetables. The price is 3,630 yen in March and 3,730 yen in April.
In addition, they offer a Hanami Bento (2,000 yen) inspired by a boxed meal enjoyed under cherry blossoms, Sakura Mousse & Jelly (610 yen), which layers sakura bean paste mousse on matcha mousse and is topped with cherry blossom-flavored jelly and fresh strawberries, and Sakura Ice Cream (360 yen), cherry blossom–flavored ice cream wrapped in a cherry leaf and garnished with salted cherry blossoms.
There is also a special benefit for guests who come dressed in kimono: you can choose one gift from a one-point table manners lesson explaining Japanese dining etiquette and proper movements, complimentary coffee after the meal, or self-service photo time in the Japanese garden.
The venue is the Japanese restaurant “Shiki,” where diners can enjoy their meal while overlooking a Japanese garden featuring wild mountain cherry trees and Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms, in a space also decorated with fresh cherry blossom arrangements. All prices include tax and service charge.
