Turkish Airlines launched its Istanbul–London/Stansted route on March 18.
Initially, the airline will operate two round trips per day, with up to 15 round trips per week at maximum. To commemorate the launch, celebratory events were held at the check-in counters and boarding gates, where the occasion was marked with a ribbon-cutting and cake-cutting ceremony.

We are very pleased that, with the launch of flights to Stansted, we can expand our presence in London to a three-airport system. This will further enhance the connectivity of the airport and enable us to offer our passengers greater convenience and flexibility in accessing our unmatched global network. I am confident that this route will not only meet regional demand, but also contribute to revitalizing the local economy in both business and tourism.”
With this new route, Turkish Airlines now serves three airports in London: London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and London Stansted. Elsewhere in the United Kingdom, the airline also flies to Manchester, Edinburgh, and Birmingham.
