American Express has launched a sign-up campaign for the “American Express Gold Preferred Card” in Japan. The campaign runs until May 26.
New members can earn a total of 95,000 bonus points by spending at least 500,000 yen within three months of membership to receive 20,000 bonus points, and at least 1,500,000 yen within six months of membership to receive 75,000 bonus points. Including points from regular card use, members can earn up to a maximum of 110,000 points.
The “American Express Gold Preferred Card” was launched in February 2024. As an annual renewal benefit, cardmembers who spend 2,000,000 yen or more in a year receive a “Free Stay Gift” offering one complimentary night’s stay for two people at a hotel in Japan, as well as a 10,000-yen travel credit that can be used for hotel bookings made through American Express Travel Online. The annual fee is 39,600 yen (tax included).
