Fairmont Tokyo Launches Year-Round Fairmont Sunday Brunch with Seafood and Charcoal-Grilled Dishes
Comfort Hotel Yokohama Kannai completed its renovation on March 31.
With the concept of “waves” that incorporates the urban culture of the port city of Yokohama, the interiors of the guestrooms and common areas have been refurbished. The guestrooms feature colors inspired by Yokohama’s sea, white waves, and sandy beaches. The complimentary common space for staying guests, the “Comfort Library Cafe,” has revised seating types and layout, and features artwork utilizing uneven textures, creating a multipurpose space that can be used not only for breakfast, but also for reading, desk work, and relaxation. Books dealing with various aspects of Yokohama—its history, food, architecture, and art—are curated under four themes: memories of the port city, flavors of Yokohama, opening up culture, and relaxing in the port city. A wide range of genres are available, including photo books, essays, and art books.
Across the brand in Japan, Comfort Hotel Sendai East Exit, Koriyama, Gifu, and Himeji will also be renovated as of March 31, followed by Comfort Hotel Sendai West Exit on April 17.
