Lufthansa German Airlines Cabin Crew Union to Strike on April 10
Air France will serve around 170 cities in 73 countries in its summer schedule.
On long-haul routes, it will mainly expand services to North and South America, increasing capacity by 2 percent year-on-year. In response to the situation in the Middle East, flights to Tel Aviv, Beirut, Dubai, and Riyadh will be suspended until May 3, while services on high-demand Asian routes will be increased.
Air France will launch a Paris/Charles de Gaulle–Las Vegas route with three round trips per week from April 15. In addition, the Paris/Charles de Gaulle–New York/Newark route will be increased to two round trips per day from June. Together with joint venture partner Delta Air Lines, the carrier will operate up to 11 round trips per day between Paris/Charles de Gaulle and New York’s John F. Kennedy and Newark airports.
It will also add frequencies to Bangkok, Singapore, Bangalore, Tokyo/Haneda, and Osaka/Kansai, and upgauge aircraft on selected flights to Delhi and Mumbai.
The new La Première first class has already been introduced on routes to New York/JFK, Los Angeles, Miami, Singapore, and Tokyo/Haneda, and flights to Abidjan and San Francisco will be added this summer. The rollout of ultra-high-speed Wi-Fi is also being expanded, with 40 percent of the fleet equipped as of the end of March.
On short- and medium-haul routes, the airline will operate 630 daily flights to more than 90 cities. Domestic flights will be consolidated at Paris/Charles de Gaulle. Routes to and from Paris/Orly have been taken over by Transavia France.
