Hotel Metropolitan will host the “Suica Penguin Spring Flavors Buffet” from May 2 to 6.
Each guest will be served one plate each of an hors d’oeuvre featuring the Suica Penguin finished with fish mousse, a main meat dish of Sendai beef and pork hamburger steak topped with a Suica Penguin pie, and a main dessert depicting the Suica Penguin enjoying a bubble bath. Buffet items include dishes such as canapés with Gorgonzola and snap peas, marinated seared bonito and small scallops, grilled pork shoulder, Atlantic salmon meunière, and spring vegetable pizza, along with Suica Penguin macarons, pudding, Taiwanese castella sponge cake with strawberries, and more. Adult guests will receive a Suica Penguin umbrella cover and one drink, and there will also be a raffle where participants can win original hotel merchandise.
The venue is the banquet hall “Sakura.” There are two 120-minute seatings, starting at 12:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., and on May 6 only the 12:30 p.m. seating will be offered. Prices are 10,000 yen for adults, 4,000 yen for elementary school students, and 2,000 yen for children aged 4 to 6, tax and service charge included. The price for children aged 4 to 6 does not include the individually served plate dishes; if these are requested, the elementary school student price will apply. Reservations have been accepted since noon on April 6.
