Washington R&B Hotel Shin-Yokohama Ekimae reopened after renovation on May 1.
The guestrooms have been reconfigured into a total of 230 rooms: 215 singles and 15 twins (including 5 connecting rooms). The interior design has also been renewed. Single rooms are furnished with 120-centimeter-wide beds and wide desks with large tops, while twin rooms feature a separate bathroom and toilet, and indirect lighting at the bedside with adjustable color temperature and brightness. The beds can be moved and placed side by side for use as a larger bed. Guests can enjoy video streaming services on the in-room TVs, and HDMI cables are available to borrow at the front desk.
The hotel has introduced a “Selectable Mattress” system, allowing guests to choose either an airweave mattress or a nishikawa AiR mattress. Pillows can be selected from six combinations created by three shapes and two heights, and the rooms are also equipped with two-piece pajamas featuring excellent breathability and stretch. Some guestrooms are fitted with ReFa showerheads and hair dryers. For breakfast, the hotel offers a buffet centered on bread, with hot coffee, various soups, salad, seasoned boiled eggs, organic granola, and morning curry.
