JAL’s Second Airbus A350-1000 Aircraft Arrives at Haneda Airport
Japan Airlines (JAL) has flown in the second Airbus A350-1000 aircraft (registration number: JA02WJ) to Haneda Airport.
The aircraft was received on January 10th in Toulouse, France. The delivery flight, operating as JL8102, departed Toulouse at 2:03 PM local time on January 13th, and took off 20 minutes later. It landed on Haneda Airport’s Runway A at 10:54 AM the next day, January 14th, and arrived at Spot 214 at 11:08 AM.
The Airbus A350-1000 will serve as JAL’s flagship aircraft for international routes, with a cabin configuration of 6 First Class seats, 54 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy Class seats, and 155 Economy Class seats, totaling 239 seats. First Class is arranged in a ‘1-1-1’ configuration, Business Class in ‘1-2-1’, Premium Economy Class in ‘2-4-2’, and Economy Class in ‘3-3-3’. Both First and Business Class feature private suites with doors for the first time on JAL. The In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system offers 4K resolution monitors for all classes, and can connect to wireless headphones via Bluetooth.
Starting January 24th, the aircraft will commence operations on the Tokyo/Haneda to New York route, initially on an every-other-day basis. After the induction of the second aircraft, the service will operate daily, and the third aircraft, expected to be received within the fiscal year, is planned to be deployed on the Tokyo/Haneda to Dallas/Fort Worth route as well.
