
JAL Group Implements Special Ticket Measures Due to Approaching Typhoon No. 6
The Japan Airlines (JAL) Group will implement special handling of flight tickets, as bad weather is expected due to the approach of Typhoon No. 6 in Japan.
As of 1:00 p.m. on May 30, the special measures apply to flights to and from Kikai Island, Amami Oshima, Tokunoshima, Okinoerabu, and Yoron from May 31 to June 2, and to and from Tanegashima, Yakushima, Okinawa/Naha, Kitadaito, Minamidaito, Kumejima, Miyako, Tarama, Ishigaki, and Yonaguni from June 1 to 2. All flights from the first departure of the day to the last departure of the day are covered.
For tickets on the affected flights, changes, rebooking, and refunds will be accepted free of charge, regardless of delays or cancellations.
As of 10:00 p.m. on May 30, the JAL Group has already decided to cancel a total of 142 flights: 2 flights on May 31 and 140 flights on June 1.
