Chateraise Holdings Acquires Karatsu Seaside Hotel
RISONARE Atami, a resort hotel in Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture, will offer a “Fireworks Afternoon Tea” themed on the Atami Sea Fireworks Festival from June 1 through September 30.
The afternoon tea will be served on a stand designed to evoke the “Sky Niagara,” the grand finale of the fireworks display, and will feature colorful sweets that express fireworks in the Japanese night sky, such as macarons representing vivid bursts of light and cheesecake with a popping candy texture that crackles in your mouth like fireworks. For the welcome drink, a frozen mocktail is prepared to express the shifting colors of fireworks: when lemon-flavored soda is poured into the blue drink, it theatrically changes to pink. On the days when the fireworks festival is held, special seats will be available on the hotel’s top floor at “Soranobeach Books & Cafe,” where guests can watch the fireworks. In addition to private use of the seats, champagne and petits fours will be provided.
The venue is the Japanese dining restaurant Hanabi. The afternoon tea is offered in four 90-minute seatings starting at 12:00 noon, 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. The price is 7,000 yen (tax included). Capacity is 4 people per seating. Reservations are accepted via the official website until 5:00 p.m. three days in advance. Available to overnight guests only.
