ORIX HOTELS & RESORTS to Open CROSS Suites Tokyo Asakusa on July 3
APA Group will relocate the “APA Museum” to APA Hotel & Resort <Tokyo Bay Makuhari> and hold a grand reopening on November 16.
The museum is currently operating at APA Hotel & Resort <Joetsu Myoko>. It will be moved to the 48th and 49th floors of APA Hotel & Resort <Tokyo Bay Makuhari>, where, in addition to the existing collection exhibits, new experiential content will be added.
The 48th floor will be themed “NEXT INNOVATION” and positioned as a testing ground for the “future” of accommodation. The 49th floor will be themed “INNOVATION HERITAGE”, introducing the history of innovation of Japan’s APA Group, which has evolved together with cities.
The exhibits will be mainly experiential. Plans include “HERITAGE CLOAK”, which looks back on APA Group’s trajectory since its founding through a diverse collection; “INNOVATION ROOMS”, where visitors can experience successive generations of APA Hotel guest rooms; “Madori Designer”, an attraction that lets visitors experience guest room layout design as a form of play; “Eco Line Challenge”, where visitors can learn about environmental initiatives; and “MY APA CURRY”, where visitors can create their own original APA President Curry. Admission is free.
