ANA Implements Special Ticket Measures Due to Typhoon No. 6
On June 4, Japan Airlines (JAL) began operating its special livery aircraft “JAL Jubilee Express” (Boeing 737-800, registration: JA339J), created in collaboration with Oriental Land Co., Ltd. The aircraft celebrates the 25th anniversary event of Tokyo DisneySea in Japan, “Sparkling Jubilee,” and will be operated on domestic routes served by Boeing 737 aircraft until around April 2027.
The tie-up between the two companies began in 2001, when Tokyo DisneySea opened, and this is the seventh special livery aircraft. The fuselage features “Jubilee Blue,” the theme color of Sparkling Jubilee, as its base, and is decorated with the Aquasphere and Mount Prometheus, symbols of Tokyo DisneySea, along with Disney friends dressed in special costumes. The design differs on each side of the aircraft. On both sides, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse are the main characters. On the left side, Pluto, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Chip, and Dale appear, while on the right side Duffy and ShellieMay are depicted.
On board, passengers will find specially designed headrest covers and paper cups (three designs in total), and will be welcomed with “Come Join the Jubilee,” the theme song for the Tokyo DisneySea 25th anniversary. As a commemorative item, boarding certificate stickers (one of three designs, distributed at random) will also be handed out.
The inaugural flight, JL625 from Tokyo/Haneda to Kumamoto, departed from Spot 11 at 8:17 a.m. At the gate, model planes of past Disney special aircraft and other items were on display, and during boarding, pilots and cabin crew personally handed commemorative sticker gifts to each passenger.
Later on June 4, the aircraft will operate as JL626 from Kumamoto to Tokyo/Haneda, JL587 from Tokyo/Haneda to Hakodate, JL586 from Hakodate to Tokyo/Haneda, JL569 from Tokyo/Haneda to Memanbetsu, and JL566 from Memanbetsu to Tokyo/Haneda. From June 5 onward, the schedule can be checked on the JAL website’s flight status information page from the day before operation.
