APA Hotel will hold a pre-opening of “APA Hotel <Yamaguchi Iwakuni Ekimae Nishi>” on June 5 in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan.
The former Iwakuni Plaza Hotel will be rebranded. The building is an 11-story reinforced concrete structure with a flat roof and will offer 150 guest rooms. All rooms will feature APA’s original “Cloud Fit” beds, with bed width expanded from 1,200 millimeters to 1,400 millimeters, along with a light renovation of unit bathrooms and the introduction of key card access.
Inside the hotel, the lobby, front desk, and common corridors will be renovated, and a water dispenser will be installed. Renovation work will proceed while operations continue, with a grand opening planned after completion. This will be the first APA Hotel in Iwakuni City and the second in Yamaguchi Prefecture after APA Hotel <Yamaguchi Hofu>, bringing the total number of rooms in the prefecture to 291.
The hotel is located about a 5-minute walk from JR Iwakuni Station.
