GENSEN HOLDINGS will reopen “TAOYA Atami” as a rebranded property on July 18.
The property was formerly known as Ooedo-Onsen Monogatari Hotel Suiryotei. Guest rooms will include Japanese-style rooms, Western-style rooms, Japanese rooms with beds, and kids’ rooms, with approximately 30 new rooms to be added. Many guest rooms will feature large windows, and some will offer views of Sagami Bay in Japan.
Inside the hotel, there will be an infinity open-air bath where the hot spring water surface appears to merge with Sagami Bay, as well as a large public bath drawing a mixed hot spring source from Hashiriyu and Izusan Onsen. Newly built facilities will include a post-bath lounge and another lounge with a fireplace. The property will adopt an all-inclusive system, with alcoholic beverages at dinner, drinks in the lounges, and late-night snacks all included in the room rate. Meals will be served buffet-style, offering whole alfonsino (kinmedai) sashimi, salmon and tuna sashimi, and beef steak prepared in a live kitchen at dinner. In the lounge, complimentary light snacks such as strawberry shortcake and drinks will be offered depending on the time of day.
Access: approximately 10 minutes by shuttle bus from JR Atami Station, about 40 minutes by car from the Seisho Bypass branch Ishibashi Interchange (IC), and about 1 hour by car from the Izu-Jukan Expressway Oba–Kannami IC.
