Qatar Airways to Gradually Increase Doha–Dubai Flights from June 5
Riyadh Air will launch services to five cities in the Middle East and Europe.
The airline will open the Riyadh–Jeddah route on June 14, the Riyadh–Dubai route on June 18, the Riyadh–Cairo route on June 25, the Riyadh–Madrid route on July 17, and the Riyadh–Manchester route on July 23. This expansion follows the introduction of a third Boeing 787-9 aircraft, after the first two. Riyadh Air will also move up the start date for operating the Riyadh–London/Heathrow route with the new aircraft to June 10.
The cabin will feature four classes: Business Elite, Business Class, Premium Economy Class, and Economy Class. Business Elite and Business Class will offer full flat beds in a 1-2-1 configuration, Premium Economy Class will have a 2-3-2 configuration, and Economy Class will have a 3-3-3 configuration.
The introduction of these aircraft is part of Saudi Arabia’s aviation strategy and is positioned as supporting the realization of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to attract 150 million visitors and handle 330 million passengers annually by 2030.
Riyadh Air is an airline funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and has placed aircraft orders with both Boeing and Airbus.
