Hilton to Open Gajoen Tokyo LXR Hotels & Resorts in 2027
Japanese capsule hotel operator Nine Hours will open “Nine Hours Kita-Shinjuku” on June 15.
The property originally opened in 2017, but closed in 2021 due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19. It will now reopen. The hotel will offer 206 guest rooms. Each room is equipped with Nine Hours’ uniquely designed sleep pods, which collect sleep data using infrared cameras, sound-collecting microphones, and body-motion sensors installed in the pods, and analyze this data with dedicated software.
Inside the facility, there will be a university collaboration space in partnership with Tokyo Women’s Medical University, equipped with measurement devices such as a body composition analyzer and an automatic blood pressure monitor. This will allow guests to check their physical condition and health indicators. By leveraging knowledge related to sleep, health, and traditional East Asian medicine, and collaborating with various manufacturers, the hotel aims to provide opportunities for guests to reassess their own physical condition and lifestyle habits.
The hotel is located a 2-minute walk from JR Shin-Okubo Station in Tokyo, Japan.
