Kochi Kuroshio Hotel Apologizes Over Monument to An Jung-geun on Its Premises
Kyoritsu Maintenance will open “Natural Hot Spring Hekihō-no-Yu Dormy Inn Komatsu” on July 3.
The 8-story building above ground offers a total of 171 guest rooms in 6 types: 14 single rooms, 10 residential-type rooms, 105 double rooms, 35 twin rooms, 5 triple rooms, and 2 universal twin rooms. A dedicated “sleep improvement room” will also be introduced. The bath name “Hekihō-no-Yu” was chosen through an in-house naming contest, inspired by Komatsu City, which is known as a production area for jasper (greenstone).
Facilities inside the hotel include a large public bath for both men and women (one each), featuring an indoor natural hot spring bath, an open-air style bath exposed to fresh outside air, a high-temperature dry sauna, and a cold bath. There is also a cooling terrace, a relaxation area after bathing, a manga (comic) corner, a laundry corner, a restaurant, a paid lounge, and a smoking booth. Breakfast will be served as a Japanese-Western buffet with about 50 varieties, including Komatsu Noto beef udon, Kanazawa roasted green tea pudding, and various small side dishes made with seasonal ingredients.
Access: approximately a 5-minute walk from JR Komatsu Station, or about 10 minutes by car from the Komatsu Interchange (IC) on the Hokuriku Expressway.
