JAL retires Shohei Ohtani special livery “DREAM SHO JET” Airbus A350
Hawaiian Airlines has unveiled a special livery aircraft (Airbus A321neo, registration: N227HA) created in collaboration with Disney’s live-action film “Moana”.
This is the first of three aircraft to be introduced, and it will be operated on routes connecting Hawaii with the U.S. West Coast and the Cook Islands. In July, the livery will also be introduced on an Airbus A330 and a Boeing 717.
The design features the message “Voyage beyond the reef,” and depicts the shape-shifting demigod Maui in the form of a hawk carrying his fishhook. Characters such as the coconut-armored Kakamora, the rooster Heihei, and the pig Pua are also illustrated on the aircraft and on the overhead baggage compartments.
Hawaiian Airlines previously introduced special livery aircraft when the animated films “Moana” and “Moana 2” were released.
