Hilton Tokyo Odaiba is holding the “Wa × Melon & Mango Dessert Buffet” on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from May 24 to July 12.
As the second edition of the dessert buffet that was held in March, this event offers a concept of enjoying seasonal Japanese sweets in a Japanese restaurant setting. With seasonal melon and mango as the main stars, guests can enjoy sweets and savory items while seated in an area overlooking a Japanese garden and Tokyo Bay.
Desserts include melon shortcake, mango shortcake, melon and vanilla charlotte made with biscuit sponge, soufflé cheesecake with melon, almond jelly with melon, mango and ginger jelly, cream soda-style jelly, mango pudding, and warabi mochi (bracken-starch dumplings). Savory items include a dish of cha soba (green tea soba noodles) tossed in olive oil and served with soba-dashi jelly and grapefruit, edamame mousse topped with mint jelly and lemon zest, and sea bream soup. Beverages such as coffee, black tea, Japanese green tea, and roasted green tea (hojicha) are available.
The venue is the Japanese restaurant “Sakura” on the 3rd floor. Service hours are from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The price is 4,500 yen for adults, 3,000 yen for elementary school students, and 1,500 yen for children aged 4 to 6, while children aged 0 to 3 are free. Freshly whisked matcha is available for an additional 1,000 yen per bowl. All prices include tax and service charge.
