Japan Airlines (JAL) began serving umeshu (plum liqueur) produced in Okinawa Prefecture at its domestic lounges in Naha Airport from June 1.
The brands offered are Zuisen Distillery’s “Zuisen Umeshu with Okinawan Brown Sugar,” Seifuku Distillery’s “Seifuku Umeshu” and “Seifuku Ume Rum,” Takamine Distillery’s “Omoto Umeshu,” Nakijin Distillery’s “Umemizuki,” Helios Distillery’s “Brown Sugar Umeshu” and “Shikuwasa Umeshu,” Matsufuji’s “Okinawa Tankan Umeshu,” and Ryusen Distillery’s “Ryusen Umeshu.”
The umeshu is available at the JAL “Diamond Premier Lounge” and “Sakura Lounge” in the domestic terminal at Naha Airport. Some products can also be purchased at “JAL PLAZA” located in front of Security Checkpoint A in the Naha Airport domestic terminal, as well as on the online shopping site “Okinawa no Iimono by Coralway.”
