Inspire Revamps ‘Splash Bay’ All-weather Pool Dome Adjacent to Incheon Airport
Haneda Mirai Park Management has begun park development construction for the Haneda Airport Former Site Zone 1 Urban Planning Park Project on June 23. The opening is scheduled for around spring 2028.
Tentatively named “Haneda Airport Park,” the park will be developed on land adjacent to Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan. Making use of the scenery that allows visitors to view airplanes up close, it aims to become a lively hub open to local residents and visitors from both Japan and overseas. The area will cover approximately 32,700 square meters.
The design features a cross-shaped layout formed by “Hana no Wa” (Ring of Flowers), a circular park path lined with cherry trees, and “Toki no Michi” (Path of Time), a straight path that connects the Haneda neighborhood with Haneda Innovation City. At the center of the park, there will be a lawn plaza of about 7,400 square meters and a play area with water features. With a flat, wheelchair-accessible structure and rubber-chip mound flooring, the space will be easy to use for everyone from children to seniors.
In the sports field area, in addition to padel courts that can be enjoyed regardless of age or athletic experience, there will be a skateboard park, 3×3 basketball courts, a dance area, and a multipurpose plaza, creating a sports environment focused on urban sports.
The park will be located in Haneda Airport 1-chome and 2-chome, Ota Ward, Tokyo. It will be about a 3-minute walk from Tenkubashi Station on the Keikyu Line and Tokyo Monorail.
